Shopify Product Scrapper ("the extension") is a browser tool that fetches publicly available product information from the Shopify-powered store page you are viewing and exports it as a CSV file. This policy explains what data the extension handles.

1. Data we collect

None. The extension does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal information, browsing history, or usage analytics. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no tracking, and no advertising.

2. How the extension works

• When you click the extension icon, it reads the URL of your current tab solely to determine which store page you want to export products from. This URL is used in your browser only and is never sent to the developer or any third party.
• The extension then requests the store's own public product data endpoints (for example, /products.json) directly from your browser.
• All fetched product data is processed locally in your browser. The CSV file is generated on your device and saved by you. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.

3. Permissions

• activeTab / tabs: used only to read the current tab's URL when you click the icon, and to open the extension's own full-page tool.
• Host access: required because Shopify stores exist on countless domains that cannot be known in advance. Requests are made only to the store you are viewing, and only when you use the extension.

4. Third parties

The extension does not use analytics services, advertising networks, or remote code. If a store's data cannot be fetched directly, a public CORS relay may be used as a fallback purely to retrieve the store's public product JSON; no personal data is included in these requests.

5. Your responsibility

Please only export product data you have the right to use, and respect the terms of service of the websites you visit. This extension is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Shopify Inc.
