Effective 5 August 2026 · Shopify Product Scrapper v1.0.3
This extension has no server, no account system and no analytics. It does not collect, transmit or sell your personal information. Everything it produces stays on your computer. One narrow exception involving public relay services is described in full below, because it would be dishonest to leave it out.
The extension uses your browser's local storage on your own machine for:
This data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the extension, or using the Clear button inside it, removes it permanently. There is no backup and no copy held anywhere else.
The extension has no host permissions and does not run in the background. It does nothing until you open it.
Two things are worth stating plainly.
Public relay services. When you use the full tool with a pasted URL, your browser may block the request for cross-origin reasons. In that case the request is retried through public relay services — currently cors.eu.org, test.cors.workers.dev, api.allorigins.win and api.codetabs.com. When this fallback is used, the store URL you are fetching becomes visible to that relay operator. No personal data, credentials or browsing history is included. If you would rather avoid relays entirely, use the extension popup on the store tab instead: it never uses them.
The store you are viewing. Fetching a catalogue means requesting pages from that store, exactly as a normal visitor would. If you switch on live stock checks, the extension additionally sends throttled requests to that store's cart endpoint. This feature is off by default and requires your explicit consent each session. Nothing is added to your cart.
No data is sold, rented, or shared with advertisers, data brokers or any other third party. This is not a policy choice that could quietly change tomorrow — there is no collection mechanism that would make it possible.
This is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13. No information is knowingly collected from anyone, including children.
The extension reads catalogue data that Shopify stores already publish publicly. What you do with that data is your responsibility. Copying another merchant's listings, images or descriptions wholesale may infringe their copyright and breach Shopify's terms of service. Use it for research, price monitoring, and migrating stores you own or are authorised to work on.
If this policy changes materially, the effective date above will change and the revised version will be published here before the update ships to the Chrome Web Store.
